Why Colloidal Silica?
The Colloidal Silica in Lythic™ Densifier penetrates quickly, deeply, and cleanly into concrete. The nano-size particles in Lythic Densifier are highly reactive in concrete – far more reactive than conventional densifiers. They form cementitious compounds that harden and densify the surface with less wait and less waste. Lythic Densifier with Colloidal Silica means increased speed, economy, uniformity, and density.

A Sustainable Shine
Polished concrete is an environmentally friendly floor finish: It eliminates the resource-consumption required to make (and periodically replace) applied floor coverings. It outlasts most floor coverings. This also eliminates the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that most floor coverings and adhesives emit. And it eliminates the indoor air quality problems due to strippers, waxes, sealers, and polishes needed to maintain other types of floor finishes.
Conventional densifiers are silicate-based products; they are highly caustic, difficult to handle and form a chemical slurry by-product that requires disposal as a hazardous material. Lythic Densifier, however, has a lower pH, so it is safer to handle, penetrates concrete quickly, and does not leave a dangerous residue. Lythic Densifier has zero VOCs and contains no harsh

chemical solvents. It is shipped as a concentrate, reducing transportation-related energy consumption.

Lythic Densifier applies more quickly and easily than other products. It does not have to be scrubbed into the surface, and it does not produce a slurry or gel that has to be scrubbed off. And since there is no residue to remove, there is no need to rinse the surface after treatment, and no waste disposal problem.
